I grew up in New England and lighthouses were always part of the background. Some people might be surprised that there are also lighthouses in the Midwest. This is the lighthouse in our town and there are beautiful, old stone structures and a wooded park adjacent to the lighthouse and its beach. We took a leisurely walk through the area and were able to appreciate the natural beauty around us.
